Beer Review – Schremser Edelmarzen

Name: Schremser Edelmarzen

Origin: Austria

Style: Marzen (5.1%)

Appearance: A clear, light yellow coloured beer that poured with a medium, fizzy head which shrinks away relatively quickly.

Taste: It smelled sweet and grassy, the taste starts sweet and bread-like. There are some sugary notes as well as a yeast flavours hidden in the background. Finished mildly bitter and sugary. Aftertaste is short lived.

Mouth Feel: Foamy and filling, sharp on the tongue.

Final Thoughts (3 out of 5):  This was an enjoyable beer from the market and even more enjoyable because the day I had it was quite hot. Nothing beats an cool, Austrian beer in the company of a Japanese family.
