Routine of the Day – The Deck of Pain


This is another Navy Seal created WoD I found of www.Crossfit.com. I modified it slightly by replacing situps with Burpees as I wanted to use my training vest.

Shuffle a deck of 52 cards – Each suit represents an exercise and the number of repetitions you must complete. Cycle through the entire deck.

1-9 are their respective number of repetitions (obviously)

Face Cards = 10 reps

Aces = 11 reps

Diamonds - Pullups

Hearts - Pushups

Spades - Squats

Clubs - Burpees

Jokers (optional) – Run 1 KM

This will total 86 reps per exercise (and a possible 2 KM run if your feeling that this isn’t challenging enough already).

My time for completion (I did not do the run): 28:10 minutes

I sorely under-estimated the difficulty of this routine. Had I known it was going to be such a brutal workout I probably would have not used the weighted vest.
