I have talked about the Tabata intervals before and listed some of my previous benchmarks. Well I just got a Weighted Training and I decided to see how 10 additional pounds would impact my performance.
Best Tabata-
87 points – Pullups 5, Burpees 6, Pushups 12, Squats 15, Chinnies 49
With Weight Vest + 10 Lbs -
60 points – Pullups 3, Squats 14, Pushups 12, Chinnies 22, Burpees 5
Other then the Chinnies the scores are not much different. If I exclude them from the totals the score difference is only 4. The reason for this was l I found them difficult to perform properly with the vest to the point I am considering either dropping them next round or throwing off the rest and doing them last.
I also moved Burpees to the end of the intervals as I find they are easily the most energy draining to complete and probably impact the rest of my sets total scores.
