Yesterdays brew left me with some extra ingredients on hand and knowing that I would be brewing again anyways, I decided to throw them all together in a pot to make a new beer.
Brad’s Cheap-o Leftovers Beer
Ingredients —
- 525g DME, + 80g late addition @ 20 min
- 500g Honey
- 50g Molasses
- 50g Corn Syrup
- 1 oz Styrian Gold (hops) @ 60 min
- 1 tsp Irish Moss @ 10 min
- 1 tsp Yeast Nutrient @ Flame out
All thrown together into the big brew kettle with 3.5 gallons of water (which should boil down to around 3.0 gallons). Estimated OG is supposed to be around 1.035, but I wont know until tomorrow morning. I really dug the No chill due to the ease and saved time (about 1.5 hours total, including the cleaning). Tomorrow when its cooled down to room temperature I will move it to a fermenter and take a gravity reading. The total cost of this batch was about about 15 dollars.
