I have recently returned from my trip around Germany and Austria. Getting to visit cities with buildings ten times older then Canada has been an country really puts in perspective how young my country really is. It really was an amazing trip filled with breathtaking castles, awe inspiring churches, delicious dishes and delectable desserts. But most of all it was filled with far too many new beers for me to sample. Though God be damned if I did not try to enjoy as many as I could during my all too short visit.
I took with me a small notebook which I used to review each and every beer I got my hands on. By the end of the trip I had twenty-seven new beer tastings noted in my beer journal, some available in Canada, though most not. Best of all each beer cost less then a bottle of water. No joking, most beer really is cheaper then most water available in the market. If it was not for fear of dehydration and death I doubt I would have bought a single bottle of water on the whole trip.
All that aside I plan to update my beer review blog over the next several weeks with all of my notes and reviews, plus add new photos to the Beertography gallery for your viewing pleasure.
