Routine of the Day (Thursday) – Run, 5KM (ラン)
Posted by bradinator in Fitness, Japan, Japanese Language, Language Practice, Routines on April 20, 2012
I started a running club at work! Well sort of… It’s less of a club and more of a group of people that go running once a week at lunch. Its great motivation though. The people that are participating are in good shape so I need to push myself pretty hard to keep ahead right now. I imagine within a few weeks its going to be me at the back trying to chase down the rest of the group!
Routine of the Day – Run, 5KM with 18lbs training vest
Totally getting a stop watch for this. I want to know how fast I am doing the run in. I may even bring my GPS so I can verify that this route is actually 5KM. Google maps can be deceiving.

Hero WoD.
Routine of the Day – Complete 3 Rounds for time of
- 5 Front Squats, 115lbs
- 18 Pullups, kipping
- 5 Deadlifts, 225lbs
- 18 Toes-to-Bar
- 5 Push Press, 115lbs (subbed instead of Push Jerks)
- 18 Springing Pushups
Time – 14:54
This one was pretty tough, but in hindsight I think I could have managed 135lbs Front squats and Push Press… I just chickened out at the last second and dropped the weight before starting. I am really getting a hang of the kipping pullups as well, managing to hit off all 18 pullups in a row for the first round.
