Beer Review – Yukon Red’s Amber Ale

Name: Yukon Red’s Amber Ale

Origin: Yukon, Canada

Style: Amber Ale (5.5%)

Appearance: Light brown with a reddish tone to it. Pours with a medium, foamy head which shrinks down but leaves a healthy filmy top.

Taste: Sweet, toffee like aroma. The inital mouthful is sweet, with notes of caramel and toasted malts. This amber ale finishes bitter, with spicy hops. The bitter aftertaste does linger for a long time after the drink is finished, but I find it pleasent.

Mouth Feel: It is a very soft, easy drinking beer. Not overly filling and not sharp at all.

Final Thoughts (4.0 out of 5): An excellent beer. The range of sweet and bitter flavours is balanced exceptionally well making it enjoyable from the moment it touches the tongue to when it fills your belly.
