Name: Whistler Classic Pale Ale
Origin: Canada, BC
Style: Pale Ale (5%)
Appearance: A dark, goldish colour. Pours with a foamy, short lived head.
Taste: It smells strongly of malts and breads. This pale ale has some strong cracker-like, grainy flavours from the malt. It finishes with slightly sweet honey like taste. There are definite notes of peppermint in the background. Finally the beer is a bit on the thin side, leaving it a bit watery.
Mouth Feel: Not very carbonated or sharp. The aftertaste and mouth feel leave quickly making this a very refreshing, clear drinking ale.
Final Thoughts (3.5 out of 5): A fine pale ale. Though it may sound like I am complaining about the watery nature of this beer, I am actually not. It gives this beer a very refreshing mouth feel. I am not sure if its the glacier water they brew it with but it really gives this beer some character.
