Beer Review – Wells Banana Bread Ale

Name: Wells Banana Bread Ale

Origin: England

Style:  English Ale/Fruit Ale (5.3%)

Appearance: This odd beer flavour combination is a light caramel brown colour.

Taste:  The aroma is of synthetic banana, with a light bread-like smell also noted. It tastes sweet, mostly of bananas with some grain-like notes. The hops are spicy and peppery and this ale finishes bitter with a lingering citrus aftertaste.

Mouth Feel:  Soft and light bodied.

Final Thoughts (3 out of 5): An interesting combination, but I have never been a fan of synthetic banana.
