Beer Review – Samuel Smiths India Ale

Name: Samuel Smiths India Ale

Origin: Tadcaster, England

Style: India Pale Ale (5.0%)

Appearance: A medium, soft and foamy head this beer has good head retention overall. It is a clear orange-copper colour.

Taste: The aroma is quite citrus-like and hoppy. It has a sweet, toffee like flavour initially with obvious notes of oranges. It finishes like it starts with a semi-sweet citrus and toffee-esque flavour. There are some subtle bitter coffee notes hidden in the aftertaste.

Mouth Feel: Medium bodied, this pale ale is both filling to drink and sharp on the tongue. It has a lingering aftertaste.

Final Thoughts (4 out of 5):  Another beer that is wicked-awesome. Yah!
