Beer Review – Samuel Adams Winter Lager

Name: Samuel Adams Winter Lager

Origin: USA

Style: English Bitter (5.5%)

Appearance: A dark copper coloured ale, clear with a medium head with little retention.

Taste: This ale has a good aroma, being spicy with notes of cinnamon and molasses. The base is sweet and malty, with strong flavours of bitter citrusy hops, with notes of spices such as cinnamon and what i believe is ginger. It finishes with a pleasantly hoppy aftertaste.

Mouth Feel: Light bodied, not filling and an easy drinking.

Final Thoughts (4.5 out of 5):  Absolutely delicious! They used the spices in this beer was used perfectly, being subtle but still adding character to this beer.
