Appearance: A clear golden lager, it is quite fizzy pours with a medium head that has a short lifespan.
Taste: The aroma is light, but I can note plain malted grains. The taste starts bitter and strong, with it being easy to taste its high alcohol content. It has some sweet, whiskey like qualities, which is finishes with as well. The hops give some grassy notes as well.
Mouth Feel: Medium bodied and filling. The high ABV gives it a hot mouth feel as well.
Final Thoughts (2.5 out of 5): A standard tasting lager, Red Horse does not try to masks its high ABV which gives it some whiskey like qualities and a hot mouth feel.

日本の日記 － 週末は バンフに いました。

先週末は たくさん 忙しかったですよ。 金曜日に 二つ カルガリーの公園へ 行った その後 弟の会社のクリスマスパーチに 出ました。 あいにく その晩は 私は あまり 寝ません でした それから 土曜日に 早く 起きなければならないでした。 土曜日の朝 もう一人 友達が 会った 一緒に バンフに 行きました。
バンフの冬はに 違い見せる ですよ！ もっと きれいですよ！
まず バンフで ハイキングしました。 その後 有名な 牧場 （ぼくじょう）に 止まりました （ともる）。 美味しい晩御飯を 食べました。 日曜日の朝 美味しい 朝ごはんを 食べた 牧場の中で 散歩しました （さんぽ）。 昼に 馬を （うま） 乗りました。 楽しかったですよ！
運転は 家まで ちょっと 危ないでした。 たくさん 氷の霧 （こうり、 きり）が あった 道が 難しい 見ました。 でも 私 安全 （あんぜん）を 運転者です （うんてんしゃ）。
今日は 休まなければ 明日は たくさん 疲れるでしょう。。。

Beer Review – R & B Cream Ale

Name: R & B Raven Cream Ale
Origin: BC, Canada
Style: Cream Ale (4.8%)
Appearance: This is a very dark, amber coloured ale. It is not very clear. It pours with a small, fizzy head with a short life span.
Taste: The aroma is earthy and of raisins. The flavours start sweet and raisny. The hops are evident, giving it a bitter, grassy finish. There are some notes of a red wine-like flavour in the background, though these a subtle.
Mouth Feel: A medium bodied ale, this cream ale is fizzy with a sharp mouth feel.
Final Thoughts (3.0 out of 5): This is a very tasty ale, though I think it lacks in the ‘cream’ department. It had a sharper, carbonated mouth feel rather than a soft, creamy mouth feel I would expect from a cream ale. Still it was a very tasty beer and I cannot wait to try more of R & B’s beers in the future!
