Beer Review – Petrus Blonde Ale

Name: Petrus Blonde

Origin: Begium

Style: Ale (6.5%)

Appearance:  A dark, golden coloured ale. Its clear and quite carbonated in appearance. It pours with a medium head that has good retention.

Taste:  The aroma has notes toasted grains and light grassy hops. The initial flavours are bitter, grassy with a toast grain base. There is some white rum-like qualities noted as well from this beers slightly higher than average ABV. It finishes grassy and bitter.

Mouth Feel: Petrus Blonde is a light bodied, fizzy and sharp ale.

Final Thoughts (3.5 out of 5): This is another of Petrus quaility brews. My records show that I really enjoyed the double Bruin, but hated the Aged pale. This is one was good enough I may pick up the Petrus Triple this weekend.
