Name: Ottakringer Helles
Origin: Vienna, Austria
Style: Lager (German Lager)
Appearance: Light golden colour, poured in the plastic cup they served at the McDonalds. It had a small head which dissapated quickly
Taste: There were some hay or grass-like smells. The beer itself was light tasting, somewhat on the watery side. Bitter lettuce and grass-like notes are apparent, with a subtle sweet peppermint-like nestled in the initial drink.
Mouth Feel: Filling and foamy, with a very high amount of carbonation. Ottakringer Helles still is an easy drinking beer that is tongue-safe.
Final Thoughts (2.5 out of 5): Except for the subtle hints of peppermint, this is a very standard lager. Drinking it in McDonalds added to the experience, though I have to admit I was really hoping to get to sample a McBeer rather then a bottle of the standard city fair.
