Name: Obolon Svitle (Helles)
Origin: Ukraine
Style: Lager (4.5%)
Appearance: A smokey, dark yellow colour lager. Pours with almost no head and has nothing but a tiny ring of foam around the glass to show.
Taste: Skunky smelling to start, with just light notes of malts. A slightly sour, lemon-like flavour detected in the background, with stronger flavours of crackers and table sugar. I could also detect something of a peppermint in its finish, along with a sour, winey aftertaste.
Mouth Feel: Light bodied and easy drinking.
Final Thoughts (1.5 out of 5): Its a cheap tasting Euro-Lager, but its drinkable.
