Beer Review – Monchshof Bockbier

Name:  Monchshof Bockbier

Origin: Kulmbach, Germany

Style: Bock 7%

Appearance:  A clear bronze colour with a very large head on the initial pour. This shrinks to a smaller, long lived head that hangs around for the entire beer.

Taste:  Monchshof Bockbier has a strong aroma of sweet caramel. The beer itself tastes of caramel and breads. There is a hint of a strange dairy like taste in background giving the beer an almost cheese cake like flavour.

Mouth Feel: It was soft and creamy with no noticeable sharpness at all. The aftertaste is incredibly enjoyable.

Final Thoughts (4 out of 5):  This is one of the more unique tasting beers I have ever had. The mixture of flavours almost make this a dessert beer. I enjoyed this bock greatly!
