Beer Review – Minhas Brewing’s Swiss Style Amber

Name:Minhas Brewing 1845 All Malt Pils

Origin: USA, Wisconsin

Style: Amber Ale (5.5%)

Appearance: Just like the name, this ale is dark amber color. A big, very short lived head on the pour. Reduces down to a small, thin film which lays on top of the beer.

Taste: Smells slightly metallic, with some sweet grassy notes. The initial drink is slightly sweet and strongly malty, with notes of grain or maybe bread. Some floral flavours are also noted, hard to define though. The beer finishes mildly tart, but tends to lean more the sweet-malty side of beer. A linger bitter aftertaste follows.

Mouth Feel: Sharp on the tongue, medium carbonation. Aftertaste lingers for a duration.

Final Thoughts (3.0 out of 5):  This a a good, well crafted amber ale.
