Beer Review – Minhas Brewing 1845 All Malt Pils

Name:Minhas Brewing 1845 All Malt Pils

Origin: USA, Wisconsin

Style: Pilsner (5.5%)

Appearance: This Pil is a pale yellow, minimal head on pour and only a slight ring of foam around the glass.

Taste: The beer has a sweet, almost rum like aroma. Like its aroma its sweet, with notes of toffee or caramel. There is some definite grain, malt like flavors and finishes with a bitter, almost lettuce like aftertaste.

Mouth Feel: The beer drinks soft and foamy, but is also quite filling. No noticeable sharpness.

Final Thoughts (2.5 out of 5):  An all malt pilsner that is not bad, but nothing mind blowing. I find myself enjoying the more heavily hopped beers recently, so this one felt as if it was missing something. Still not bad for an all malt beer.
