Beer Review – Miller Genuine Draft

Name: Miller Genuine Draft

Origin: USA, Milwaukee

Style: Lager (American Lager)

Appearance:  It is a very clear, watery yellow. It pours with a fizzy medium head that stays around for most of the drink.

Taste:  It smells of aluminum foil or metallic shavings. The lager has some very generic sweet flavours that can be best described as white sugar. Just as in the smell, there are definite hints of something metallic, though not overwhelmingly noticeable. It finishes with a plain bitter, somewhat skunked aftertaste. Despite all the points above they seem to work well together making it a decent tasting lager.

Mouth Feel:  Soft, foamy and very refreshing. Even when it becomes warmer it still stays very refreshing.

Final Thoughts (2 out of 5): It is drinkable and when its free it is even better. I am not a big fan of the mass-produced American lager as they tend to have that same, bland and somewhat metallic taste. MGD is one of the better ones available on the market.
