Name: Ise Kadoya Beer’s Triple Hop Pale Ale
Origin: Japan, Ise-Shi
Style: Pale Ale (5.0%)
Appearance: This beers is incredibly foamy to the point that it is obviously over carbonated. As soon as I popped the top the head begin to crawl right from the bottle. The retention of this foamy head is excellent. The actual appearance of the beer is a cloudy, pale peach colour.
Taste: The aroma of this beer is very powerful. It smells of incense like flowers. The palette of this beer is quite rich and floral. It starts sweet, with notes of honey and sugar. It finishes with a bitter and strongly hopped aftertaste that lingers.
Mouth Feel: Despite its obvious over carbonation this beer is both soft and non-filling. The beer itself leaves the mouth feeling coated.
Final Thoughts (3.5 out of 5): It would seem that I only picked out what was immediately wrong with this beer in my above review, but for all of its faults I actually really enjoyed its flavour. I love ales. I love hops. I love heavily hopped ales. And that is exactly what this beer is.
