Beer Review – Irresistible Amber Ale by Madison River Brewing Co.

Name: Irresistible Amber Ale (Madison River Brewing Co)

Origin: USA, Montana

Style: Ale (Amber Ale 5%)

Appearance: A caramel coloured ale, with a creamy medium tan head on pour. Short lived… Though I am starting to think the heat of the summer is killing the head retention on these beers.

Taste: The beer smells mostly of grain, with some notes of caramel and oranges. Flavours are similar to the aroma, being malty, with some notes of caramel or toffee and sweet oranges. It ends with a bitterness akin to grapefruit. Overall a clean finished beer.

Mouth Feel: A carbonated, filling beer with a light body. Its refreshing, except for a chalky feeling that coats the mouth briefly.

Final Thoughts (2.5 out of 5): I found this to be a rather uninspiring standard amber ale. Its fairly good, for what its worth, but its is most definitely resistible.
