Yeah I know I have reviewed this one before, but it was a quick review. This one will be a full fledged Bradinated Beer Review.
Name: Hitachino Nest Beer Extra High
Origin: Japan
Style: Strong Ale (8%)
Appearance: It pours with a soft, creamy head that has excellent retention. Its colour is a dark, murky, copper.
Taste: The aroma is has strong notes of raisins and berries. The flavours start sweet, with notes of caramel and raisins. There a some hints of cinnamon in this ale as well, giving it a slightly cola like flavour. It finishes bitter and grassy, with a lingering malty sweet aftertaste.
Mouth Feel: A heavy bodied beer, that is filling. It has a soft, creamy mouth feel and does not show any of the hotness usually accompanied by a high ABV beer.
Final Thoughts (3.5 out of 5): Just as tasty as I remember it. This beer did not foam over when I opened it like last time, so I think this batch had a much easier journey across the Pacific ocean.
