Name: Ginban Shuzou ビール – Home grown hops and barely from a valley I cannot possibly read.
Origin: Japan, Toyama-ken
Style: Pale Lager (5.0%)
Appearance: A dark golden yellow colour, this specialty lager pours with a small, but long living head. It is quite noticeable carbonated with a constant show of rising bubbles.
Taste: This beers aroma is very strong and smells of caramel and toasted oats. The taste starts with brief sweet notes of caramel, but becomes bitter and its flavour almost overwhelmed by the carbonation. As the beer warms slightly the toasted oats and caramel malt flavours become much more noticeable. The beer finishes with a toasted grain like aftertaste, with just the slightest hint of citrus.
Mouth Feel: Sharp and very carbonated, this beer is still crisp and refreshing. It is not overly filling.
Final Thoughts (3.0 out of 5): I consider myself lucky to be able to try this beer as you can only buy it in certain specialty stores in Japan. このビールを 私の彼女は 持って来ました。 嬉しい ですよ!
