Name: Faro Lambic Beer
Origin: Belgium
Style: Lambic (4%)
Appearance: This is a clear, mahogany red coloured lambic ale. It pours with basically no head at all.
Taste: The aroma smells of cherries and raisins. The flavour is not much different, being very sweet with notes of berries and raisins. It has a very winey base to it as well. It finishes with a strong, yet short-lived sweet and sour cranberry aftertaste.
Mouth Feel: A very carbonated, light bodied ale.
Final Thoughts (3.0 out of 5): The best way to describe this lambic is “Cranberry Soda-Like”. That being said usually I dislike soda-esque beers, but this one was still rather good. It was not a sweet as some lambics which is good, but truthfully anything beer-like about this ale was utterly missed by my palette.
