Beer Review – Eric’s Red Cream Ale

Name: Eric’s Red Cream Ale

Origin: Canada, Newfoundland

Style: Cream Ale (5%)

Appearance: A light amber, orange tinted ale it pours with a small short-lived head.

Taste: The aroma has a light caramel or toffee like quality. Some grains noted in the smell as well. This ale is sweeter, with toffee like start. Sweet oranges become apparent and it finishes with a bitter citrus taste. The aftertaste is a lingering, pleasant light toffee flavour.

Mouth Feel: Its a soft, easy drinking ale. Medium bodied.

Final Thoughts (4.5 out of 5): An absolutely delicious ale. This was an award winner 10 years ago and I can see why.
