Beer Review – Cassaro

Name: Cassaro

Origin: Argentina

Style: Pilsner (4.9%)

Appearance: A very clear, light golden coloured pils. It pours with a medium head that does shrink slightly but endures for the entire drinking session.

Taste: The aroma is of crackers and grains. The base has a relatively dry palette, with flavours of bread and crackers from the malt. There are noticeable floral flavours from the hops, plus a will defined bitter lemon finish. The aftertaste is bitter, with light notes of bread and citrus though shortlived.

Mouth Feel: Soft, filling with a light body. A very easy drinking pilsner.

Final Thoughts (4 out of 5): I would have never guessed the Argentina, a place not know for pilsners to produce such a fine tasting beer.
