Beer Review – Bank’s Caribbean Lager

Name: Bank’s Caribbean Lager

Origin: Caribbean

Style: Lager (5.0%)

Appearance: This lager is a very clear, pale yellow. There was almost no head what-so-ever from the pour and only traces of a foam around the edges of the glass.

Taste: Surprisingly sweet and malty for a lager. Strong notes of toasted malts and biscuit in background, it finishes with flavours of crackers and mild floral hops.

Mouth Feel: This is a very crisp, very clean drinking lager. The bitter, biscuity aftertaste is pleasant and unique from most lagers I have sampled.

Final Thoughts (3.5 out of 5): This is a fine lager if I do say so myself. I believe this is the Caribbeans answer to Kokanee Gold, which is consider by most a ‘premium’ beer. Still it is very enjoyable by my standards. This beer pairs well with hot beaches and beautiful oceans.
