Name: Alley Kat 15th Anniversary Apple Wit
Origin: Edmonton, Canada
Style: IWheat Ale, Fruit beer (5.4%)
Appearance: A cloudy pale yellow ale, very fizzy in appearance. It pours with a small short-lived head.
Taste: The aroma is of spartan apples. The base of this wit is sour, with notes of apples and lemon. It finishes citrusty being both sour and bitter. Overall the other flavours are very subtle and hard to distinguish from the strong sour flavours that dominate this beer.
Mouth Feel: A light bodied, sharp and filling beer.
Final Thoughts (2.5 out of 5): This beer was okay, but probably not something I would pick up again. I like Alley Kat and most of their brews quite good, but I found this beer drank more like a malted cider than an wit ale.
