Beer Review – Belhaven’s Twisted Thistle IPA

Name: Belhaven’s Twisted Thistle IPA

Origin: Scotland

Style: IPA (6% ABV)

Appearance: A light orange colour with a soft foamy head that shrinks down but lasts the entire session.

Taste: Very strong malty-bready aroma. This beer is bitter, grainy and strong flavours of crackers. Some very light sweet notes in the background, maybe caramel or honey. The beer finishes with a bread-like, bitter aftertaste.

Mouth Feel: Creamy and filling. There is no sharpness to this ale at all.

Final Thoughts (4.0 out of 5): The Twisted Thistle IPA is a simple beer. A simple appearance, a simple palette, simple flavours and simply fantastic. This is a fabulous beer. Simply.
