Routine of the Day – Angie (difficult version)

Warm up – 3 Rounds for Time (4:20)

  • 20 Chair Dips
  • 20 Pushups
  • 20 Bootstrappers
  • 20 V-Crunches
  • 10 Pullups

Routine of the Day – Angie (difficult version)

Complete as many round as possible of -

  • 5 Handstand Pushups (wall assisted)
  • 10 Assisted Pistol Squats (1-Legged Squats, used the stairs to assist)
  • 15 Ring Pullups

9 Rounds finished, 1 minute to spare, rep’ed out 27 Ring Dips.

It does not look like much, but this is a challenging routine. Only a few months ago a single Handstand Pushup was nearly impossible for me, but rep’ing out 5 in a row is cake (for the first 5 rounds anyways).

Beer Review – Hoegaarden

Name: Hoegaarden

Origin: Belgium

Style: Wheat Ale (Witbier 4.9%)

Appearance: Orange and copper in colour, this beer pours with a small, fizzy head.

Taste: Some minor aromas that remind me of incense and floral hoppy notes as well. This whit is spicy with strong notes of cloves and banana. Finishes sweet, with a lingering banana like aftertaste.

Mouth Feel: Soft and easy drinking. This beer is highly refreshing and easily quaffable.

Final Thoughts (3.5 out of 5): It’s hard to believe I am drinking the same Hoegaarden I had several years ago. All I could taste then was the overpowering spices and could barely finish my pint. It goes to show you how much your tastes can change and evolve overtime.
