Routine of the Day – The Neilston

Very possibly named after a friend that participated with me on this gauntlet of pain.

Warm up for time - Finished in 4:46

3 Rounds of —

  • 10 Pullups
  • 15 Burpees
  • 20 Pushups
  • 25 Chair Dips
  • 30 Squats

Routine # 1 For Time (Crossfit Created) – Finished in 8:17, done with the 12lbs training vest

5 Rounds of —

  • 21 Sumo Highpull Dead Lifts
  • 21 Parallel Bar Dips
  • 21 Pullups

Routine # 2 For Time (The Neilston) – Finished in 7:17

Complete 3 Round of -

  • 50 Mountain Climbers (2-count)
  • 10 L-Pullups
  • 20 Alternating Lunges
  • 30 Pushups
  • 20 Janda Situps
  • 10 L-Pullups

This routine is slightly modified from its original which used a Stairmaster (50kCal) instead of mountain climbers. I also switch out the 20 Parallel Bar Dips for Alternating Lunges because I had already done 105 in Routine #1.

On a side note I found my old score for routine #1 which I did way back in April of last this year. I only had a rough time based on a clock at the gym but it was between 20 to 22 minutes to finish. I did it in 8:17 this time around…

An absolutely insane improvement. I love you Crossfit.
